We're perplexed the trustees would be forward thinking enough to consider the standards issue but be too cowardly to stand for consensus, accepted science critically needed by Wyoming's next generation of scientists.

What a missed opportunity.
As leaders of the state's lone university, the trustees should be willing to take a leadership role on a basic educational issue. They dropped the ball and did the science UW teaches, as well as future students, a disservice.
We also find ourselves sympathizing Huaraches Shoes Girls with UW professors and students at the university. They know climate change and evolution are heavily confirmed by a significant weight of evidence. But like us, they had towatch the trustees squirm and avoid supporting the science education standards. The trustees called the standards a political issue, and they're right. Thank God the UW Board of Trustees knows garbage when they see it, even if the CS T editorial board obviously doesn't. Thank you, UW Trustees, for not rising to the bait and caving to leftist pressure to recognize a "consensus" that doesn't exist.
From the editorial: "We're perplexed the trustees would be forward thinking enough to consider the standards issue but be too cowardly to stand for consensus ."From the Casper Star's own note on "Civil Dialog": "If your comment was not approved, perhaps.
